All patients are seen prior to the start of treatment by physicians who are trained in addiction.
Each patients medical needs will be assessed through a thorough history and physical exam.
The physician will remain involved during the induction phase until the patient has been stabilized on his or her optimum dose of methadone in order to eliminate any and all symptoms of withdrawal or drug cravings.
The physicians will then be available whenever a medical problem arises or a dosage change up or down is required.
