About The Next Step, Inc - Treatment Center For Women

The Next Step is a unique program that empowers women with alcohol and other drug addictions to begin and sustain a life-long process of recovery through an individualized continuum of residential treatment and supportive living services.
The Next Step (TNS) is an addiction treatment center in Albany, NY.
TNS addresses addiction as a primary, chronic, and progressive disease affecting the body, mind, and spirit of an individual.
Treatment is tailored to meet the unique needs of women suffering from chemical dependence.
Women referred to the program receive a comprehensive evaluation to determine individual treatment needs.
TNS offers an a variety of programs, including an intensive residential treatment program in a brand new, customized home, a supportive living program, and a community transitional support program.
The caring and professional staff at The Next Step have demonstrated competency through credentials, experience and certification in the treatment of chemical dependence and the specific issues that confront women.
Programs OfferedIntensive Residential TreatmentThe Residence Program receives referrals from other rehabilitation centers, both short and long-term, outpatient clinics, county agencies, the court system, and other agencies that use treatment as an alternative to incarceration.
Women must be 18 years of age or older, in good physical health and mentally able to participate in program activities.
A woman must also be able to demonstrate motivation towards her recovery.
Supportive LivingThe Supportive Living Apartment Program provides women the opportunity to live in an apartment, with a roommate, while continuing to receive case management services from TNS.
Residents attend community based outpatient services and volunteer or attend school at least four days a week.
Community Transitional SupportThe Community Transitional Support program offers support for women with children being returned to them from some type of alternative care arrangement and are entering the job market.
CTSP offers a rental subsidy and supervision by a case manager.
Women in CTSP are able to receive, for up to two years, an income-based rental subsidy based on net income that decreases as salary increases.

considering inpatient treatment for alcohol but 2 things stop me, 1 I smoke cigarettes & not completely ready to quit that yet & 2nd is working. But I do know my work has suffered because of my drinking and mostly my family has.
