Description

Red River Treatment Center (RRTC.) has been established to serve those citizens of Louisiana who have a problem with alcohol or drugs. RRTC offers a safe and supportive atmosphere to begin the journey of recovery from chemical dependency. Admissions to their medically supported detox program and their 21-25 day rehabilitation program are through referral from other treatment facilities. Individuals who are interested in services are encouraged to call Single Point of Entry, Alexandria/Pineville Alcohol and Drug Abuse Clinic at (318) 487-5191. RRTC operates under the auspices of the Office for Addictive Disorders, Department of Health and Hospitals. RRTC is a state supported facility and fees will be assessed on a sliding fee scale. No one will be refused services due to an inability to pay.

Is this treatment center really free?

Most of the listings on this website are free; however, we decided it would also be helpful for our visitors to see sliding scale treatment centers and low cost rehab centers for low income persons.

Since many of our rehab centers are sliding scale, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Red River Treatment Center's Medically-Supported Detoxification Unit website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care based on your income from the sliding fee scale.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2021

Persons In Family Household Poverty Guideline Salary per year
1 $12,760
2 $17,240
3 $21,720
4 $26,200
5 $30,680
6 $35,160
7 $39,640
8 $44,120

For Households with more than 8 persons, add $4,480 for each additional person.
*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
