The ARC, located in Hyattsville, Maryland is for men ages 21 to 65 seeking help with chemical and alcohol addictions.
It is a free 180-day program that focuses on spiritual, physical, mental and social recovery.
The physical and spiritual care that program participants receive prepares them to re-enter society and return to gainful employment.
Many of those who have been rehabilitated are reunited with their families and resume a normal life.
