These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income.
When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
My sister Sheri her son Justin has been battling Mental issues for a few years. He has been sent to JFK hospital in West Palm Beach a few times. HE cannot hold a job he is just not all there. He has mentioned about wanting to die and kill himself He has no Health Insurance and keeps getting sent home with no resolution. The story gets worse his mom Sheri has battled cancer for a few years and almost died. She is now suffering from effects of the chemo. She has now possible Lupus, she found out she is allergic to a chemical in paper and many other items she cannot work. Her mental has suffered a bit too.Now her household income relies on her husband and with her not working it was a huge loss as she made very good money. I went to the disability office and that is still pending. They are in such debt and bills are behind. Warren Justin's dad I can see is suffering too he is depressed and their marriage is just about broken. It breaks my heart and I want to help them but I do not how how to. I am understanding Justin is still at JFK for now 4 days. Sheri is losing hope and he mental stage is not good. She to is asking me to assist her to find help for her son. My heart is breaking for this family, please help me help her find the resources.
