Akeela has broadened its approach to and service provision of substance use treatment from its early days. What had begun as a sole focused Therapeutic Community residential program has retained that program as its flagship treatment service, but has expanded significantly. Now offered is a specialized residential program for women who have their children living with them in treatment, an array of outpatient patient services that include general outpatient, Intensive outpatient, and programs specifically for women.Their Ketchikan programs have the same service array except it only has one program designed specifically for women, a program serving pregnant substance using women.
