I was just told that I have been turned down because I use an inhaler for COPD. I was told that they do a lot of walking and it would not work out. I am a very active person. I work in the restoration industry. I carry heavy equipment up and down stairs. I live on over an acre and am in the process of landscaping my home and garden which involves moving rocks and wheelbarrows of dirt and running a rototiller over a half acre of the garden area. And of course this year have shoveled a lot of snow. I believe closer to the truth of why I was turned down is that I am 59 years old. Just saying, I think your decision should be reconsidered. Or should I just ask the State of Michigan if their funding has an age restriction?
