At the Fraser Center, they aid clients in stabilizing their lives by focusing treatment efforts in these six areas:1) Withdrawal - includes mild to serious symptoms such as agitation, nausea, sleeplessness, tremors, seizures, etc.2) Physical complications - clients can experience wide range of physical impairments resulting from substance use/abuse, including heart, lung and liver damage.3) Emotional/behavioral disorders - depression, anxiety, psychosis, grief reactions and shame are all possible issues facing chemically dependent clients.4) Resistance and acceptance - denial can be an obstacle to treatment. Denial is a natural coping skill that becomes maladaptive. Clients need to be encouraged to move from denial through these of other healthy coping skills to acceptance of need for treatment.5) Relapse potential - areas of the client's life which cause obsessive or compulsive behavior must be stabilized. Those locations, habits, or relationships which trigger impulses to drinker use are addressed.6) Social/Environmental stressors - family, legal, financial, vocational, and other aspects of a client's life have likely been affected by drug and alcohol use. The consequences of these effects become part of the treatment process.

Is this treatment center really free?
Most of the listings on this website are free; however, we decided it would also be helpful for our visitors to see sliding scale treatment centers and low cost rehab centers for low income persons.
