Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2024

Persons In Family Household Poverty Guideline Salary per year
1 $15,060
2 $20,440
3 $25,820

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

My son had called earlier and spoke to someone re: the virtual alcohol classes that apparently aren’t being offered again until December, but he didn’t really understand everything so I’m trying to help him gather more info. He only needs it due to pre-trial diversion and doesn’t have an issue with alcohol. I’m sure you hear this a lot, I’m not blind to the issues by any means. I’m a NP and know the problems teens have. He was at a concert & Hamilton County is well known for busting underage drinking as they should, but it is a definite money laundering business. He was scheduled for in-person in March at Peru, but due to Covid it got cancelled and they haven’t resumed. He’s talked to Rex there several times and has been referred to Logansport for virtual class. He needs 8 hours only in order to complete his deferment, which his year is actually up and hopefully they will extend it due to nothing has been available. Can you please advise of the website or the process for him signing up for this class please. Thank you so much! Danielle

My son got arrested 5 days ago. I bonded him out on the 3rd day. He apparently has been using meth for over a yr. He is trying to detox at home and is having difficulty with it. He lost his job and is living with me. I am trying to find a place for him to get help asap. To help him detox and counseling so he doesn't start again. He said he'd been trying to quit for months but the withdrawals are too much. Thank you.
