Tips on Choosing a Free Rehab Center in Atlanta, GA

  • Make sure the center is accredited. Accreditation means that the center has met certain standards of quality and patient care. You can find accredited rehab centers by visiting the websites of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) or The Joint Commission (TJC).
  • Check the center's track record. How long has the center been in operation? What is its success rate? You can find this information by reading online reviews or by contacting the center directly.
  • Consider the center's treatment approach. Does the center offer a variety of treatment modalities, or does it focus on one approach? What is the center's philosophy on addiction treatment?
  • Find out what the center's aftercare program is like. Aftercare is essential to long-term recovery. Make sure the center you choose offers a comprehensive aftercare program.
  • Make sure the center is a good fit for you. Consider your individual needs and preferences when choosing a rehab center. For example, if you have a co-occurring mental health disorder, you'll need to find a center that offers dual diagnosis treatment.

Here are some additional tips:

  • Ask about the center's admission process. What documentation do you need to provide? Is there a waiting list?
  • Find out what the center's policies are on insurance and financial assistance. Will the center accept your insurance? Does the center offer financial assistance to patients who need it?
  • Visit the center in person, if possible. This will give you a chance to meet the staff, see the facilities, and get a feel for the center's atmosphere.
  • Talk to people who have been to the center. Ask them about their experiences and whether they would recommend the center to others.
Choosing a rehab center is an important decision. By following these tips, you can find a free rehab center in Atlanta, GA that is right for you.

I've never been for myself but I used to go as a child with my mom. I don't think she paid for anything, because she didn't take it serious.

Free Rehab Centers in Nearby Cities

Since many of our rehab centers are sliding scale, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Mary Hall Freedom Village Recovery Programs website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care based on your income from the sliding fee scale.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2023

Persons In Family Household Poverty Guideline Salary per year
1 $14,580
2 $19,720
3 $24,860
4 $30,000
5 $35,140
6 $40,280
7 $45,420
8 $50,560

For Households with more than 8 persons, add $4,480 for each additional person.
*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

I am an addict and I love drugs specifically meth but I am putting it before anything or anyone. For my safety and sanity I am asking you to please accept me. I went the Salvation Army and 6 month program at this time is not right for me. I want to be of service to others and I want to do this. I am ready. I lost my health Insurance but have a job if you can work with me financially. I can come in the morning or now.

I am a single mother of two wonderful children. Unfortunately I have struggled with meth and heroine since the age of seventeen. I have turned for the worst recently and lost everything I desire and I don't want to continue! I am desperately seeking help for myself. I am on health insurance but I do have money I can finance. If you have any openings.

hello!! My name is Hannah. I am a 23 year old single mom. My 1 year old was placed in a safety plan outside my home with my parents. My step mom and my father. I was in outpatient treatment for awhile. But I kept slipping. And I woke to realize I am putting my daughter threw something that has traumatized me at the age of 10. N0 not on purpose did my mother leave me. But I was choosing this life for my own baby. I was choosing not to be in her life bc I kept back sliding. I've been trying to get in touch with you for the last 24 hours. want to help myself with the problem I have with drugs and some psychological help as well. I believe in myself to be the best person I can be for myself and my daughter. Only need the help. I have no financial help. Or any Medicare/ insurance. I'm really wanting to get my life together and get my child back into the home I live in. She deserves to have me here doing for her the way a strong single mom can.

I'm 47 years old and have been on meth since I was 14. Been to prison 6 times and in and out of jail just about my whole life. I got out and have been out going on 2 years I've never lasted this long. I've got my kids back into my life and I'm fixing to have my first grand-baby. I have a pending case poss w/ intent. I don't need prison it does not help with my addiction. I NEED REAL HELP... I'm reaching out asking for help. I've come to far to lose it all now.. I've tried to do it by myself but just can't leave it alone.
