Tips on Choosing a Free Rehab Center in Charlotte, NC

  • Make sure the center is accredited. Accreditation means that the center has met certain standards of quality and patient care. You can find accredited rehab centers by visiting the websites of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) or The Joint Commission (TJC).
  • Check the center's track record. How long has the center been in operation? What is its success rate? You can find this information by reading online reviews or by contacting the center directly.
  • Consider the center's treatment approach. Does the center offer a variety of treatment modalities, or does it focus on one approach? What is the center's philosophy on addiction treatment?
  • Find out what the center's aftercare program is like. Aftercare is essential to long-term recovery. Make sure the center you choose offers a comprehensive aftercare program.
  • Make sure the center is a good fit for you. Consider your individual needs and preferences when choosing a rehab center. For example, if you have a co-occurring mental health disorder, you'll need to find a center that offers dual diagnosis treatment.

Here are some additional tips:

  • Ask about the center's admission process. What documentation do you need to provide? Is there a waiting list?
  • Find out what the center's policies are on insurance and financial assistance. Will the center accept your insurance? Does the center offer financial assistance to patients who need it?
  • Visit the center in person, if possible. This will give you a chance to meet the staff, see the facilities, and get a feel for the center's atmosphere.
  • Talk to people who have been to the center. Ask them about their experiences and whether they would recommend the center to others.
Choosing a rehab center is an important decision. By following these tips, you can find a free rehab center in Charlotte, NC that is right for you.

Free Rehab Centers in Nearby Cities

Since many of our rehab centers are sliding scale, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Dove's Nest Women's Free Residential Addiction Recovery Program Charlotte Rescue Mission website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care based on your income from the sliding fee scale.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2023

Persons In Family Household Poverty Guideline Salary per year
1 $14,580
2 $19,720
3 $24,860
4 $30,000
5 $35,140
6 $40,280
7 $45,420
8 $50,560

For Households with more than 8 persons, add $4,480 for each additional person.
*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

My daughter will be transferred soon from the Cleveland county jail in shelby, and I'm very excited that she is being allowed this opportunity and praying she takes full advantage of your resources! what does she need to bring as far as clothing, toiletries and or necessities?

I have a daughter, Christy, who started with drugs straight out of High School 26 years ago. She has been in and out of jail and is currently in Women's Prison in Raleigh, NC. She has been through numerous rehabs in the early years but nothing substantial since. While on drugs, she lost her 3 wonderful children who still love her very much - one 20 who lives with me, another 18 and the 3rd, a great daughter, age 17 who live with their father. They understand her illness and would do anything to see her well. Her jail and prison stints have done nothing to help her as that's not their job. She is ready to attend a good rehab. and I have heard about yours from numerous people. She has talked about, over and over again, coming out of prison and going straight into your program. I believe that a year program might just do it for her. I just want you to understand that this was not my idea, but hers. I am not young anymore, just turned 72, and still work full time in a hospital in Pinehurst, NC. Am planning to retire within 6 months while I'm ahead of the game. Along with wanting to be a mother again, I think that Christy finally understands what she has done to me all of these years. I have always supported her mentally and never stopped loving her. What does she have to do to get in touch with you to go ahead and make arrangements for the day that she is released? I can have her call you herself, but she can't talk long. Are there papers that she could fill out and send it? Thank you so much for your attention to this request.

This is an awesome facility. I am grateful that my son got me out of Scotland county when he did and I was able to get in here. Had I not , I would most likely been dead. My boyfriend at the time I went in recently died from an overdose so I know I may have already been dead had I not went there.

Dallas court ordered for me to go to rehab but not only was it court ordered but I am the one that I'm ready for a change. I have a 20-year-old daughter, a 13 year old daughter and a 2 year old son which I never got to bring home. I hope that I'm going to be able to come. This facility Dove's nest. I am so above and beyond ready to make a change in my life and for my kids too. I have done and I am addicted to crack cocaine/pills and I'm just tired of being addicted.
