Since many of our rehab centers are sliding scale, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the TLC Recovery website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care based on your income from the sliding fee scale.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2022

Persons In Family Household Poverty Guideline Salary per year
1 $12,880
2 $17,420
3 $21,960
4 $26,500
5 $31,040
6 $35,580
7 $40,120
8 $44,660

For Households with more than 8 persons, add $4,480 for each additional person.
*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

I'm trying to help my daughter through rehab and treatment for an opioid addiction and she has government insurance, she's 26 years old so she doesn't qualify for our family insurance, she's been out of our home for over a year due to her addiction and has not seen her children who are four and five and we're all desperate for reunification but don't know where to start, she's been through two treatments but fell into the wrong paths once again and now basically is homeless; we're in Phoenix, Arizona and we just want to help her get her the safest treatment option available.

I have a 25 year old grandson who is homeless and addicted to heroin. His stepfather refuses to put him on his medical insurance and so does his mother. My son ( his biological father ) has paid for treatment for him. He’s been in County Recovery Rehabs. His stepfather threw him to the curb right out of high school for smoking weed and drinking cough syrup. There is so much to this story. We are going to lose him as his mother and stepfather do not understand this disease. I watch Addicted and am wondering if you could help. Thank you
