About Cullman Area Mental Health Authority
The Cullman Area Mental Health Authority has a program called Transformations and it is the only state certified substance abuse program in Cullman County. It provides substance abuse assessments, individual counseling, family education and counseling, drug screening, referral to inpatient treatment, community education/training, and intensive outpatient treatment. They accept Medicaid, Medicare, PEEHIP, SEIB, Healthspring, and All-Kids insurance. Individuals without insurance coverage are seen regardless of ability to pay and are assigned sliding scale fees based on documented income.
