About West Central Human Service Center

West Central Human Service Center is one of eight regional human service centers within the North Dakota Department of Human Services designed to provide a wide range of human services.
The primary treatment services is a structured treatment program provided for chemically dependent persons of all ages and their families, the program includes individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions.
Acupuncture treatment is also available for people undergoing substance abuse treatment. Fees are adjusted for income and household size.
No one is refused services because of inability to pay.
There is no charge for vocational rehabilitation or developmental disability case management services.
Insurance is accepted is available.

I'm terrified of getting sober. I'm afraid I still won't be able to cope the horrifying things that have happened to me, which is how I got here in the first place, and I'll fail.. I'm afraid to find out I'm not strong enough or I don't have what it takes.. Yet, at the same time, getting sober & getting my life back, getting myself back, are all I think about anymore. It's almost like a fantasy I obsess over, even while I'm using.

These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

Sliding Scale Treatment Fees that are variable based on the clients ability to pay. Fees are reduced for lower income persons or have less money due to high expenses.

Non-Profit Treatment Many non profit treatment programs are free or are lower cost due to the non profit organizations status.

Faith-Based Treatment Many religious organizations offer drug and alcohol recovery treatment at no cost as part of their ministry services. Many also offer payment assistance for those that qualify.

Medicaid Payment Assistance Medicaid often covers payment for alcohol and drug treatment. Medicaid coverage do differ by State. We provide recovery centers and programs that do accept Medicaid as payment for treatment.
