About Netcare Access Miles House

Miles House is an eight bed, respite option for adults, ages eighteen and over, who are experiencing a mental health crisis.
Miles House offers a less restrictive environment than psychiatric hospitalization, with a maximum length of stay of 16 days.

Crisis intervention and stabilization    Risk assessment    Crisis-specific education and decision support for patients and families    Family centered education about available local resources    Referral and linkage with treatment providers    Support until linkage    Emergency medication services    Acute hospitalization*Assessment services are available-
