Their goal is to identify the best possible treatment experience which will allow for the most successful outcomes for every admission.

Is this treatment center really free?

Most of the listings on this website are free; however, we decided it would also be helpful for our visitors to see sliding scale treatment centers (which are based on your income and you can qualify for free treatment) and low cost rehab centers for low income persons.

Tips on Choosing a Free Rehab Center in Tulsa, OK

  • Make sure the center is accredited. Accreditation means that the center has met certain standards of quality and patient care. You can find accredited rehab centers by visiting the websites of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) or The Joint Commission (TJC).
  • Check the center's track record. How long has the center been in operation? What is its success rate? You can find this information by reading online reviews or by contacting the center directly.
  • Consider the center's treatment approach. Does the center offer a variety of treatment modalities, or does it focus on one approach? What is the center's philosophy on addiction treatment?
  • Find out what the center's aftercare program is like. Aftercare is essential to long-term recovery. Make sure the center you choose offers a comprehensive aftercare program.
  • Make sure the center is a good fit for you. Consider your individual needs and preferences when choosing a rehab center. For example, if you have a co-occurring mental health disorder, you'll need to find a center that offers dual diagnosis treatment.

Here are some additional tips:

  • Ask about the center's admission process. What documentation do you need to provide? Is there a waiting list?
  • Find out what the center's policies are on insurance and financial assistance. Will the center accept your insurance? Does the center offer financial assistance to patients who need it?
  • Visit the center in person, if possible. This will give you a chance to meet the staff, see the facilities, and get a feel for the center's atmosphere.
  • Talk to people who have been to the center. Ask them about their experiences and whether they would recommend the center to others.
Choosing a rehab center is an important decision. By following these tips, you can find a free rehab center in Tulsa, OK that is right for you.

Free Rehab Centers in Nearby Cities

Since many of our rehab centers are sliding scale, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the 12 and 12 website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care based on your income from the sliding fee scale.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2023

Persons In Family Household Poverty Guideline Salary per year
1 $14,580
2 $19,720
3 $24,860
4 $30,000
5 $35,140
6 $40,280
7 $45,420
8 $50,560

For Households with more than 8 persons, add $4,480 for each additional person.
*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

I called you yesterday and left a message with the intake Coordinator, my son Kenneth just got out of jail again Friday for PI/possible meth. This has happened several times in the past 2 years. He has also tried to commit suicide 3 times. He was in Talihina and sent to a place in OKC where he was dc'd after 5 days. Next time, I took him to Paris, TX where he was dc'd from hospital after 2 days. He has Sooner Care and is Choctaw Indian with CDIB. Him and his 2 kids live with me. Age 15 and 14. The mom left 2 years ago. Thank you!

I need help related to my 30 y old son- I want to prearrange admission as an inpatient. He needs evaluation and treatment- he has no job no money, and I have guardianship of his 5 year old son. He has a list of pending cases all related in one way or another to drugs and poor choices. I can't let him stay with me due to his drug use, history of lies, theft and unacceptable behavior, etc - it impacts his son and me. I am 66 and there is no one else to care for my grandson, so we need to identify and Address the root causes of my son's problems. It is at a critical point and is urgent - he is homeless, hungry and possibly suicidal. I am not equipped to handle this anymore by myself
