About Home of New Vision

Home of New Vision is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides gender-specific programs and specialized services to empower, protect, encourage, and enrich the lives of men, women, their families, and communities affected by the disease of addiction. They are committed to promoting change and awareness, and reducing stigma and shame, by providing a better understanding of recovery. Their philosophy is that substance use disorders are treatable, chronic diseases whose progression can be interrupted at any point. They believe that substance abuse education, treatment, and support are effective ways to intervene in the progression and development of chemical dependency, and to allow for sustained, long-term recovery.

Maplegrove. It was a good program, but only two weeks. I felt, and still do feel, that I needed longer— at least 30 and perhaps as much as a year. Insurance picked up most of the cost, however my copay was about $3000.

Since many of our rehab centers are sliding scale, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Home of New Vision website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care based on your income from the sliding fee scale.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2024

Persons In Family Household Poverty Guideline Salary per year
1 $15,060
2 $20,440
3 $25,820
4 $31,200
5 $36,580
6 $41,960
7 $47,340
8 $52,720

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

This generational curse will end with ME

I've been trying to find help for my adult child with drug addiction and homelessness for years. Michigan is the most uncompassionate state I have ever seen. There is no help if you don't have insurance and aren't a wealthy person. I've been trying for years with no luck. This state needs to invest more in rehabilitation and helping people find a place to stay and help felons get a decent job.
