Set amid twenty-two acres in the serene mountains of Sussex County, New Jersey, Sunrise House provides state-ofthe-art clinical services for substance abusing adults and their families.
The goal of Sunrise House is to intervene in the progression of chemical abuse and dependency, and promote change through individualized treatment.
In an atmosphere of compassion and safety, clinical services are designed to provide intensive, ongoing support that helps people meet their life challenges.

The Sunrise House Detoxification Unit is a medically assisted and monitored program, using state-of-the-art medications to assist in the withdrawal process.
The unit is staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days a week by a team of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Counselors, Family Counselors, Dietitians and Physicians to provide medical treatment and counseling.
The unit provides detoxification services for patients who are addicted to alcohol, opiates, benzodiazepines, pain killers, cocaine and other drugs.
Detoxification protocols are tailored for the individual needs of the patient based on current use, past history of substance dependence and physical/emotional status.
The mission of the unit is to assist in providing a safe and comfortable detoxification experience, while assisting patients in entering more comprehensive treatment fortheir addictions.
Sunrise House Foundation, as part of its mission, offers an intensive inpatient rehabilitation treatment program for adults, with specific gender based tracks.
The program begins with a comprehensive assessment of medical and health, psychological, quality of life, addiction, family, social and work environment, and spiritual dimensions.
An interdisciplinary team of addiction professionals, health professionals and behavioral health professionals in partnership with the patient develop treatment plans, continuing care plans and discharge/treatment transition plans.
Treatment consists of group and individual counseling, trauma and gender-specific counseling, relapse prevention, life story, peer evaluations, daily educational and motivational lectures, workshops, recreational and family education, and psychodrama.
The program is rooted in the 12 Step philosophy.
These modalities are tailored to fit the needs of the individual. Inpatient treatment is complemented by individualized referral to appropriate continuing care providers.
