ARI is a privately run outpatient substance abuse clinic offering a variety of services.
ARI offers a complete program for patients who are committed to working towards recovery.
ARI operates using a management team made up of members of the medical, nursing, counseling and administrative areas. The team is very dedicated to the people who come to ARI for services and members of the team are available for you if the need arises.
It is the mission of the Addiction Recovery Institute to provide high quality outpatient services for substance dependent adults and their families throughout Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.
Care will be provided in an environment that fosters the dignity and self-esteem of patients and positively contributes to the improvement of the quality of life of those they serve.

Since many of our rehab centers are sliding scale, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Addiction Recovery Institute South website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care based on your income from the sliding fee scale.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2022

For Households with more than 8 persons, add $4,480 for each additional person.
*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

Sliding Scale Treatment Fees that are variable based on the clients ability to pay. Fees are reduced for lower income persons or have less money due to high expenses.

Non Profit Treatment Many non profit treatment programs are free or are lower cost due to the non profit organizations status.

Faith Based Treatment Many religious organizations offer drug and alcohol recovery treatment at no cost as part of their ministry services. Many also offer payment assistance for those that qualify.
