Description

Stanley Street Treatment and Resources (SSTAR) is a non-profit health care and social service agency.

They provide a wide range of mental health and substance abuse treatment services to people throughout the communities of Southeastern Massachusetts.

All of their substance abuse and mental health programs are licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Department of Mental Health Retardation.


The mission of SSTAR:

  • To provides a quality continuum of care and support to all people especially those affected by addiction, by responding to their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

I am homeless and dealing with court because of my addiction I get to a good place and in a flash make a decision that fuckes my life up for years I have the worst depression anxiety and add ever I cant afford to get medical or stay on my meds. These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

Sliding Scale Treatment Fees that are variable based on the clients ability to pay. Fees are reduced for lower income persons or have less money due to high expenses.

Non Profit Treatment Many non profit treatment programs are free or are lower cost due to the non profit organizations status.

Faith Based Treatment Many religious organizations offer drug and alcohol recovery treatment at no cost as part of their ministry services. Many also offer payment assistance for those that qualify.
