Description

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers are a beacon for men and women who have lost everything to alcohol, drugs, homelessness and other life issues. Watch the personal story of how they found hope and healing from disparity, anguish and hopelessness. We provide a 6-12 month residential rehabilitation program for those suffering from alcohol & drug addiction, homelessness and other life issues. Each center offers residential housing, work, and group and individual therapy, all in a clean, wholesome environment. The physical and spiritual care that program participants receive prepares them to re-enter society and return to gainful employment. Many of those who have been rehabilitated are reunited with their families and resume a normal life. Persons who have sought our ministry, nurture, and healing have come with issues of substance misuse, legal problems, relational conflicts, homelessness, unemployment, and most importantly, a need for spiritual awakening and restoration.Who Is Eligible?A comprehensive intake interview is required from every potential program participant to insure that the individual seeking help and the program are a good match. In the event that the interview process determines that the program is not appropriate every attempt will be made to make a referral to more appropriate help.Although the core program is basically the same, Adult Rehabilitation Center programs may vary somewhat from center to center. Each applicant must come with the recognition of a need that can be addressed within the framework of the entire Adult Rehabilitation Center program. A long term commitment of at least 6 months helps the participants make life choices and changes that, upon reentry, will enable them to maintain themselves as productive citizens of their community.Applicants with a desire to get help may be referred by families, friends, courts, clergy, and community leaders or simply contact the offices (shown above) to make an appointment or get more information.

Is this treatment center really free?

Most of the listings on this website are free; however, we decided it would also be helpful for our visitors to see sliding scale treatment centers and low cost rehab centers for low income persons.

Since many of our rehab centers are sliding scale, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center Springfield MA website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care based on your income from the sliding fee scale.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2021

Persons In Family Household Poverty Guideline Salary per year
1 $12,760
2 $17,240
3 $21,720
4 $26,200
5 $30,680
6 $35,160
7 $39,640
8 $44,120

For Households with more than 8 persons, add $4,480 for each additional person.
*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

Help. Please. I'm homeless. I left the Hartford ARC (completion not discharge) in October and haven't been able to find work. My basic needs for rent runs out tomorrow and I'll be on the street in this awful weather. I've been leaving messages for the Hartford ARC but have not been called back. I have Husky D insurance.
