About The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center of San Diego

For over 100 years, The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers have offered spiritual, emotional, and social assistance to those who have lost the ability to cope with their problems and provide for themselves.
Their FREE programs provide housing, food, counseling, community and rehabilitation services as they work to ultimately combat the root causes of prolonged alcohol and drug dependence.
Minimum eligibility requirements to enter their program:
21-61 years of age Psychiatrically stable or medication compliant Physically able to perform work assignment Commit to 6-month program Need to be abstinent from drugs or alcohol for 5-7 days Willing to participate in Christian chapel services and 12-step recovery program


Services: Housing, food, counseling, community and rehabilitation services as we work to ultimately combat the root causes of prolonged alcohol and drug dependence.

Yes I have health insurance and I have never had a deductible, my deductible has always been 0$ for anything relating to me using my Medicaid card. I have blue shield promise health plan.

These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

How you can accept my son for your program. God bless your work. He is not able to think clearly when he abuses substances. He is 36 and very immature for his age. I have been living in San Diego for 16 years and have been sending him money all that time. I am retired and on a fixed income now.

Non-Profit Treatment Many non profit treatment programs are free or are lower cost due to the non profit organizations status.
