Tips on Choosing a Free Rehab Center in San Antonio, TX

  • Make sure the center is accredited. Accreditation means that the center has met certain standards of quality and patient care. You can find accredited rehab centers by visiting the websites of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) or The Joint Commission (TJC).
  • Check the center's track record. How long has the center been in operation? What is its success rate? You can find this information by reading online reviews or by contacting the center directly.
  • Consider the center's treatment approach. Does the center offer a variety of treatment modalities, or does it focus on one approach? What is the center's philosophy on addiction treatment?
  • Find out what the center's aftercare program is like. Aftercare is essential to long-term recovery. Make sure the center you choose offers a comprehensive aftercare program.
  • Make sure the center is a good fit for you. Consider your individual needs and preferences when choosing a rehab center. For example, if you have a co-occurring mental health disorder, you'll need to find a center that offers dual diagnosis treatment.

Here are some additional tips:

  • Ask about the center's admission process. What documentation do you need to provide? Is there a waiting list?
  • Find out what the center's policies are on insurance and financial assistance. Will the center accept your insurance? Does the center offer financial assistance to patients who need it?
  • Visit the center in person, if possible. This will give you a chance to meet the staff, see the facilities, and get a feel for the center's atmosphere.
  • Talk to people who have been to the center. Ask them about their experiences and whether they would recommend the center to others.
Choosing a rehab center is an important decision. By following these tips, you can find a free rehab center in San Antonio, TX that is right for you.

Yes, i did go to treatment once before, it was called the VOA, I was beginning to like it and even started participating in groups and finished some of the homework they gave me, I was able to take my daughter with me but I couldn't keep my mind in groups or classes when I hear my daughter down the hall crying for some reason. I was in rehab not my daughter so I really don't think I can do this with my daughter being there with me, I need to do this alone cause I really want to be sober, Im tired of using.

Free Rehab Centers in Nearby Cities

Since many of our rehab centers are sliding scale, we have provided the Federal Poverty Guidelines below. Visit the Outcry In The Barrio Christian Growth Center Victory Fellowship website listed above to see what the level is needed for free care based on your income from the sliding fee scale.

Federal Poverty Guidelines for 2023

Persons In Family Household Poverty Guideline Salary per year
1 $14,580
2 $19,720
3 $24,860
4 $30,000
5 $35,140
6 $40,280
7 $45,420
8 $50,560

For Households with more than 8 persons, add $4,480 for each additional person.
*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

This place is no cult.... This place saved my life. This place changes lives by the THOUSANDS LITERALLY. I came off the streets, I came to prove God wasn't real, I found Jesus. I was loved by the homeboys when I couldn't even love myself. I left about 6 years ago, and to this day I am a soldier in the Lords Army, To this day I watch Pastor Jubels online services and still feel like The Holy spirit is reaching me from San Antonio, to Tampa. And to this day I thank God for sending a homeboy to find me at the greyhound station and leading me to that place. I have been saved. Thank you- a WHITE HOMEBOY

How does an addict get involved with a free rehab like this

2020-06-24 09:42:37

Hello, I am seeking a rehabilitation facility for my brother who is being discharged from the Neil Unit in Amarillo. He is an FI-1 and his discharge date is October 25th. I want to ensure that he is able to discharge to a safe but effective program. It is essential to his successful recovery. I am not sure if he wrote you in the past but he referred to Jabal Garcia as a contact. Can you assist me further? Thank you. A concerned sister.
